Interlatitudes Médicos
International medical cooperation agreement.

Interlatitudes Médicos
This agreement signed between Fundación Rosario Gatón and an independent group of Venezuelan physicians has the primary objective of strengthening health and continuous medical education, promoting knowledge exchange, training, and the provision of quality healthcare for the benefit of the communities served. In the first phase of the agreement, currently underway, a streaming broadcast system for various scientific activities, such as lectures, workshops, symposia, and round tables, has been successfully implemented. These activities are aimed at healthcare professionals and medical students, with the goal of offering free and unrestricted access to relevant and updated content across different medical specialties. The online modality has made it possible to expand the reach of training, facilitating the participation of professionals and students in various regions, without geographic or economic limitations. Additionally, in this initial stage, teleconsultations are being conducted in several specialties, highlighting areas such as Cardiology, Neurology, Pediatric Nephrology, Internal Medicine, Urology, Gynecology, and General Medicine. These teleconsultations are carried out under strict clinical protocols, ensuring personalized care, continuity in treatment, and rigorous monitoring of each patient. The remote modality has proven to be an effective tool to reduce access barriers and provide specialized care to vulnerable communities and remote areas. The second phase of the agreement, planned for execution in an in-person modality, contemplates the organization of onsite scientific and educational events. These activities seek to foster direct and effective interaction among professionals, educators, and students, promoting deeper and more practical learning, as well as the exchange of experiences and knowledge in a collaborative environment. Certificates of participation will also be awarded to accredit the training received, contributing to the professional development of attendees. As part of this stage, free medical consultations will be offered to patients attending the events, promoting comprehensive care and active community participation, with the collaboration of physicians from República Dominicana and Venezuelan professionals.
